The Spartans then finished off a set piece followed by another goal from Perez just minutes later. Bixby scored once more just before Kaylee Dao put away the seventh goal for the Trojans to end the second half. It was a great Senior Night with lots of excitement on the field and from the crowd. The Lady Trojans will be tested this weekend when they travel to Bishop Kelley for the Heart of America Tournament. The Trojans take on the defending state champions, Norman North, in the first game at 9:45am Friday morning.

The hard work of the defensive line lead by Laura Christian, Darrian O’Keefe, Bryn McQuaid, Kyndal Slaton, and Mallory Tucker set the tone for the match and didn’t let up the entire game. They have been training extremely hard all year and their efforts showed on the field Tuesday night by limiting Broken Arrow’s offensive chances. The teams hard work on the defensive end of the ball lead to great offensive play for the Lady Trojans. Kaylee Dao scored the first goal of the game by working to win the ball back off a Tiger defensive clearance at the top of the eighteen yard box. After settling the ball with her head, Dao slotted it with a far post volley to beat the keeper. The second goal came just five minutes later as the defense and midfield developed the ball out of the back, finished by a Marlo Zoller far post strike. The Lady Trojans scored in the second half to go up by three off a beautiful outside the foot through ball by Kaylee Dao to Meredith Carlson. Carlson got her head up and delivered a perfect assist to Bailey Strong who put it in the back of the net. It was another great team win for the Jenks Girls Soccer program. The Lady Trojans do not play again until after spring break when they take the Sapulpa Cheiftains at home March 24, 2015.
The Lady Trojans get their first road win of the season by defeating Bartlesville 3-0 Thursday night at Custler Stadium. The team started strong despite coming off of back-to-back snow days by scoring three first half goals. Marlo Zoller and Kaylee Dao were at it again scoring the teams three goals of the match. Zoller drew first blood with a near post strike in the tenth minute with the assist from Dao at the top of the eighteen yard box.
The second goal came soon after, set up by a beautiful corner kick from Bailey Strong that was headed into the back of the net by Dao. Zoller finished her second goal of the match after receiving a ball over the top from midfielder Bri Demuth and using her speed to leave her 1v1 with the Bruins keeper. Using composure she slotted the ball back post to give the Trojans a three goal lead going into half time. The defense held strong for 80 minutes, keeping the lead, and pitching another shutout for the program. It was a great team win with effort on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, along with exceptional play from the midfield. The girls look to continue their success Tuesday night at home against the BrokenArrow Tigers. Kick off is at 6:00pm.

Jenks Lady Trojan Soccer – Varsity
Varsity kicked off the regular season with a solid 3-0 victory against Fayetteville, Tuesday night at Hunter Dwelley Stadium. The defense held strong only allowing the bulldogs one shot on goal which was denied by senior goal keeper Laura Christian. The Lady Trojans looked great offensively moving the ball and working hard as a team. All three goals came in the first half with Kaylee Dao getting things started and Marlo Zoller finishing it off by netting the final two. It was a great team effort on both sides of the ball for the entire 80 minutes. The Lady Trojans look to keep the momentum going this Thursday night in their away game against Bartlesville.

The JV White team is really starting to pull the pieces together. They played an aggressive Fayetteville team that came ready to play. The girls got an early goal off a corner kick service from Sydney Jordan which was headed in by Taylor Pugh. The defense played strong and kept their 2 game shutout streak alive. Great start to the season with a 3-0 victory against Broken Arrow Monday night and a 1-0 win over Fayetteville Tuesday. JV White has a big weekend coming up as they participate in the Owasso Tournament this Saturday afternoon.
Jenks Soccer – JV Maroon
After having their entire preseason cancelled due to weather, JV Maroon finally got to take the field for their first game Monday night against Broken Arrow High School. Lead by a powerful defensive showing, the Lady Trojans held the Tigers scoreless and won 1-0 off an impressive header by Payton Dunaway. The goal was set up by a nice corner kick service played in by Mattie Rosencutter. The JV Maroon team will travel with the varsity squad Thursday afternoon to Bartlesville to take on the Bruins.
